[Error: unknown template qotd]"How was your weekend?"

I'm sure it's delivered with good intentions, but then I feel like I have to have done something exciting with my precious two days, when it was really lost to errands, chores, and sleeping late.

You could lie. "Well, I didn't really WANT to go parasailing, but it was the only way to get off of Baron Doctor Von Evil's island after it started to explode..."

Well, it was partly my own fault - I should never have quipped that Von Evil's doctorate came from a discredited college of homeopathy.

Confucius say that's if you set your expectation too high, you will often be disappointed. If you look at your goals realistically, you will not be so disappointed with how you spent your time. For instance, if you do not do the chores, then your house and food will not be to your liking throughout the week. You enjoy sleeping. So of you look at it not as a loss of time, but as doing an activity you enjoy, you will be less disappointed. Instead of being disappointed at not accomplishing some vague goal, set just one small addition to your weekend that is accomplishable. It is all about your perspective.

Yeah, definitely. I won't make excuses for trying to keep shit together and I'm glad I get done what I do, it just doesn't make for a very interesting story.
